Book Cover Men Against the Sea

Men Against the Sea

A novel written by Charles Nordhoff & James Norman Hall was published by Little, Brown, & Company in 1935, original copyright 1933. The story is a recounting of Captain Bligh's own log (Mutiny on the Bounty). The Mutiny was a true event and I believe this is book 2 of the 3 novels that recreate what took place. The inside cover has a drawing of where the ship sailed.

The condition of the book is quite used and old. It is inscribed on the cover leaf page.

Book Cover Mutiny On the Bounty

Mutiny On the Bounty

A novel written by Charles Nordhoff & James Norman Hall was published by Little, Brown, & Company in 1935, original copyright 1932. This is the story of the Mutiny on the Bounty. The Mutiny was a true event and I believe this is book 1 of the 3 novels that recreate what took place.

The condition of the book is quite used and old. The spine is in place but the outer covering has broken loose. It is inscribed on the cover leaf page. This book is more battered than the other two; probably it was more often read.

Book Cover Pitcairn's Island

Pitcairn's Island

A novel written by Charles Nordhoff & James Norman Hall was published by Little, Brown, & Company in 1934, original copyright 1934. This is the story of the mutineers existence on Pitcairn Island. The story was developed from listening and reading a variety of accounts of the events that took place and recording what the authors felt were the most believable facts. I believe this is book 3 of the 3 novels that recreate what took place. The inside covers have drawings of location and island (front & back different drawings).

The condition of the book is quite used and old.
